At the museum in Mælandsgården you go through a historical journey where you get insight into the herring and sailing season in the 19th century and development until the mid-20th century.
The entrance hall is an authentic staple bout from 1843. Amongst the museum you can see exhibitions of several important professions from this epoch, American walking, customs office, city model and interior from home at this time, including living rooms, sleeping rooms and kitchens.
