AROCENA MUSEUM The Arocena Museum is a large and modern museum with interesting rooms of contemporary art, European art, New Spain art and regional history, located in the old Casino de la Laguna building, a site of great historical value built in 1910 and located in front of the Plaza de Armas of the city of Torreón. It is based on a collection of more than 300 works of viceregal, European and Mexican art that were acquired during the last hundred years by the Arocena family and their descendants.
AROCENA HISTORICAL HOUSE The Arocena Historical House is an extension of the Arocena Museum, made in 2010, which interprets the phenomena related to economy, politics, private life and social mobility within the Comarca Lagunera during the period between 1919 and 1936. In this area you can see the architecture of the building and furniture, works of art and decorative objects of the Arocena Collection. It is located on the third level of the Arocena Building, built around 1920 by the family of the same name.
ANNEX RUSSEK BUILDING The Russek Building Annex is the second enlargement of the Arocena Museum, held in 2012, which integrates new temporary exhibition rooms, interpretation areas and a space for courses and conferences. The building is located in the historic center of Torreón, at the corner of Calle Valdés Carrillo and Juárez, the old building of the Banco Chino is one of the emblematic buildings of the city. Its history and architectural value place it as the heritage of our city.
