Museo Tramonti Guerrino

The Guerrino Tramonti Museum has become a reality in 2010 to enhance the "container" that the artist wanted in his house-museum in 1987. It counts 7 rooms and about 390 works. Guerrino Tramonti was born as a sculptor and then devoted himself to ceramics and painting. In the rooms are exhibited the works that according to the author better reflect his artistic path: an immense variety of shapes and colors and a sublime expressive world created by an original chromatic sensitivity, also applied to paintings on canvas and table. The early period, dating back to the thirties and forties, is represented by terracotta sculptures. There are paintings from the "Venetian period", executed between 1945 and 1948, characterized by post-metaphysical aesthetics, to move on to polychrome glazed ceramic works, with a great chromatic intensity and the extraordinary quality of the coverings that give life to images exceptionally clear and poetic. Along the way, his "porcellane" can be admired that made the artist particularly proud, works inspired by the materials and techniques of the ceramics of China, Korea and Japan, the result of his "alchemical" research of the Sixties. There are also his famous decorative disks, executed with the technique of thick thick glazing, "invented" by the artist in 1953 when he was director of the School of Art of Castelli, which distinguish his most peculiar style. In the last room we find the oil paintings made between the late sixties and 1992, the year of his death. To conclude the path, the studio where the artist has operated in recent years has been recreated.
