The Bishop Museum of Rosario Contemporary Art is located in the West Zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro, in the neighborhood of Taquara, in the premises of the Municipal Institute of Health Care Juliano Moreira, formerly Colônia Juliano Moreira, institution created in the first half of the XX century destined to shelter those classified as abnormal or undesirable (psychiatric patients, alcoholics and deviants of the most diverse species), but which today serves as a residence for hundreds of people.
The Museum has more than 800 works created by Arthur Bishop of the Rosary during his lifetime. In addition to holding two exhibitions per year, the institution maintains an Experimental Pole of Coexistence, Education and Culture.
