Museu del Port de Tarragona

In 2000, the Tarragona Port Authority launched a new cultural activity: the Museum of the Port of Tarragona     The cultural and public use when the port was specialized Moll de Costa, backed the location of this space, the time has been recovering and safeguarding maritime and port heritage of our coast. A former warehouse became a refuge to house the permanent exhibition after enabling it for the museum.

We present a journey through the history of the port through time from the Romans landed there until today. Life in the docks, the types of fishing, sports activities, craft and merchandise linked to our sea front are represented.
