The Museum Fünf Kontinente was founded in 1862 as the first ethnological museum in Germany. Within the diverse Munich museum landscape, it offers a unique access to the cultural wealth of people all over the world through its preserved and continuously expanded collections.

With our exhibitions and events, we build bridges from the past to current affairs and open doors to other ways of life and perspective of people in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Australia, Oceania, the Orient and Europe.
