Muzyczny Teatr Paradox

The history of the Paradox Theater dates back to 1996. Marek Medyński is the founder of the theater and the head of the ensemble, all screenplays in the theater come from his pen. Until 2006, the theater was called Skalar. In 2006, the name was changed to Paradox. The artist's acting workshop is supervised by actor Jerzy Zygmunt Nowak.

Our business began in 1996 under the name "SKALAR". Our projects were directed mainly to the needs of the ZHP Hufca Warszawa Praga Południe. The full and uninterrupted work of the theater started in 2005, when we also performed a music and dance spectacle entitled "Pirates of the Caribbean" on the basis of a movie with the same title, in the framework of the celebrations of the Huts "Primate Island" in Skaryszewski Park. . From that point on, the direction of theater work was clarified as well as a strong and constant group of young artists. A year later the name was changed to "PARADOX THEATER".

Since 2006 we have established closer and better cooperation with the "Gocław" Cultural House (a branch of the District Cultural Promotion Center in Praga Południe). Thanks to this cooperation we received rooms for a small stage design and costumes (most of the scenery is done by our own sumptem by the members of the theater), the possibility of weekly rehearsals at the premises of the house of culture, as well as consulting with actor Jerzy Nowak - which has resulted in continuous cooperation. Among the members of the band we have a choreographer and an aerobics instructor, which also facilitates our work and raises her level. The director of all the productions, and the creator of most of the scripts is hm. Marek Medyński.

In addition, since 2009 we have been cooperating with DCPK on ul. Podskarbińska. Every Saturday there is a dance rehearsal with aerobics. At our disposal is a mirror room and, depending on our needs, a large stage on which we also show our performances. Since 2010 we have also established a cooperation with the House of Culture in Wygodę, where our actors present poems during poetry evenings.

Our activity is supported and supported from the beginning of the Huts Headquarters in Praga Południe, and also (occasionally) the ZHP Stations.
