Odprti Teater / Open Theatre

An open theater is an experimental theater group, founded and located in Ljubljana. Its goal is above all to establish a connection between conventional and experimental techniques of acting and theatrical methods, since they provide a link between the audience, experts and other drama lovers. The purpose of this connection is the development of a network of informative and applied tools. An individual can actively or passively participate at any time and participate in the Open Theater workshops. The purpose of our open structure is to explore how a collaborative comprehensive process involving both traditional theater methods and character detection (through internal construction tailored to an individual) influences the overall understanding of theater and drama in the participants.

Interlaboratory workshops will create an open space where everyone can explore their relationship to individual character, feeling, literary work, partial or entire work process, etc.

Open Theater is an experimental theater group founded and located in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Its aim is to establish a connection between conventional and experimental acting techniques and theatrical methods, provide a bond between audiences, professionals and other drama enthusiasts and generate a web of informative and applicative devices through its open-participation policy, where everyone can just decide to join and actively or passively participate in the OT workshops at any time. The intent of our open structure is to explore how such a collaborative, wide-ranging process that includes both traditional theater methods and explores characters (and inner constructions of characters) influences overall comprehension of theater and dramatic acting in participants.
