Sait Faik Abasıyanık Müzesi

Sait Faik Abasıyanık Museum was opened on August 22, 1959 and the responsibilities of the museum were left to the Darüşşafaka Society. The Sait Faik Abasıyanık Museum, considered by Sait Faik's readers as part of his literary and spiritual world, has been one of Turkey's most visited museums ever since its opening. Since January 2010, the museum has been closed for visits due to restoration and empowerment efforts and opened its doors again on May 11, 2013, the 59th anniversary of the death of the author. The museum of the Abasıyanık Family and Sait Faik is exhibited in the museum when the house is being used in the museum which is restructured with the understanding of contemporary museology.
