Studio Theater Stuttgart

The Studio Theater Stuttgart is located in a picturesque HinterhOFF in the heart of Stuttgart. Once a year, »a great classic on a small stage« is staged. In 2015, Maria Magdalena of Friedrich Hebbel won the Monica Bleibtreu Prize of the Hamburger Privattheatertage in the category "(Modern) Classics". Otherwise, mainly plays by young authors, as well as political topics - usually with as much humor as Hintersinn - are staged. Not only in their own productions, but also in the selection of guest performances the Studio Theater is always looking for current references. The "Berlin unter Stuttgarts Bühnen" was called the Studio Theater by the city magazine LIFT. The Studio Theater Stuttgart has won the Stuttgarter Theaterpreis several times, and since 2010 has received numerous ratings in the trade journal »Die Deutsche Bühne« as Germany's best off-theater.
