TAK Theater im Aufbau Haus

The TAK sees itself as a meeting place, open to ideas, daring visions, exchange and controversy. The stage area, which is designed for 100-200 spectators, hosts a lively program of theater, concerts and readings.

The program draws a line between scenic translations of literary works and new forms of entertaining evenings. Theatrical groups from the independent national and international theater scene as well as socio-cultural theater productions with young people from Berlin are also guests at the TAK, as well as well-known stage artists and musicians. Own TAK productions and cooperations with cultural institutions in the district and from all over Berlin complete the diverse program.

The TAK also acts as the "venue" of the tenants in the construction house. Haus-based Aufbau Verlag presents monthly readings and picks up current topics of our time and new publications from the publishing program.Events by local artists, cultural professionals and tradesmen enrich the program through conferences, workshops and discussions.
