Teatro Ciudad de las Artes

The City of Arts Theater, located in the most important artistic and educational center in Latin America, has been consolidated, in its short twelve years of life, as one of the most significant cultural spaces in the southern area of ​​the City of Córdoba. It offers a varied local, national and international artistic program, which includes plays, musical, humorous, dance, humor, children's cycles, institutional events, etc. With a privileged location in the green lung of the city, a few meters from the Sarmiento Park, five Schools of Higher Education in Art coexist in an area of ​​4.5 hectares: Provincial Superior Conservatory of Music, Higher School of Applied Arts, Higher School of Theater, School of Ceramics and School of Fine Arts where more than 10,000 students pass daily. The main entrance, is the only construction that is conserved of the building of the Former Military Sastrería, pertaining to the Former Batalion 141 of the City. Its facade was restored, maintaining its original structure. The building houses the Cultural Complex which has two rooms: the Great Hall, with a capacity for 520 people where various proposals are exhibited and a smaller room with a capacity of 85 seats, which offers a favorable environment for closeness to the public .
