The San Nicola farm was built in 1500 by the De Salvo family, who at that time already lived in the municipality of Patù. This is a typical Salento farm, the fulcrum of all the agricultural activities that were done in the surrounding area. The farm is formed by a central body with several rooms, for use by the owner family, while on the sides there are some rooms once used in the "massaro" and peasants and stables for the shelter of the animals. The walls of the rooms were built using stones collected in the surrounding land and have a thickness of over one meter. The vaults are "star" or "barrel", left exposed or plastered. Leaving unchanged the structure are obtained some studios, of different size, with small kitchenette and bathroom, all independent. It was decided to choose simplicity and essentiality in furnishing environments as it has always been in this place. The studios, in addition to central heating, are equipped with air conditioning, autonomous, and wi-fi connection. The surrounding countryside is covered by ancient olive trees, almond trees, fig trees and the ever-present prickly pears.
