Alcazar Restaurant

Imagine an exceptional tide, poetic and open to all inspirations, that would cover the 62 rue Mazarine.

The old Alcazar would have put its last fires on Saint-Germain-des-Prés, before the beautiful and secret metamorphosis ... The historic Parisian establishment closes its doors for three months. From September to December 2015, the keys are entrusted to the architect and decorator Laura Gonzalez.

Starting point of the project: the idea of ​​a big house, which receives in a new spirit. Family house, collector's house, where surprises arise from behind the screens, drawers, alcoves mustard or blue duck.

It is the cutting of the place into meticulously composed spaces and invisible transitions that will make the mark of the new Alcazar. To reach the smoking room or the balcony, you will have to take unexpected turns, light as air, to pass in front of lounges with angelic roses or bright green.

Nestling worlds, of a total freshness and an absolute elegance, for which one calls upon the perfect refinement of the craftsmanship: it will mix marble, brass, terrazzo, straw and wood. As a shaping of the material, we will marry the lacquered, the waxed, the encaustic, the crude and the wild.

Everything will be both harmonious and contrasted.

The main hall, majestically capped with vegetation, will make the Alcazar an archipelago of ecosystems whose different flora but in symbiosis will give it the appearance of a garden.

This elegance will bring to light a Parisian fable. Large tables, exhibitions, concerts, the Alcazar wants to honor a certain art of living made of culture, gastronomy and humor.

The Alcazar will retain from the exuberance of yesteryear a sort of muffled jubilation. Something beautiful is preparing. As only Paris has the secret.
