In 1995, Philippe Taminiaux and Philippe Blerot created the Festival Vidéo Nature, a presentation of the best amateur films "Nature".
In 2006, a professional film competition was born. And since then, she is developing. Year after year, the number of professional films increases.

Aves organizes many exhibitions in "Old" Namur the first weekend of the festival. It also organizes a photo contest called "Emotion'aile" and which also wins a growing success as and editions.
In 2010, the Namur Nature Festival joins forces with the City of Namur and more particularly with the project of the "Quinzaine de la Nature".
