Festival International Nature Namur

In 1995, Philippe Taminiaux and Philippe Blerot created the Festival Vidéo Nature, a presentation of the best amateur films "Nature".

In 2006, a professional film competition was born. And since then, she is developing. Year after year, the number of professional films increases.

In 2006, the Festival formalizes its partnership with the Belgian Naturalists' Circle (NB). Together, they develop the Village Nature, some 50 stands related to Nature.

In 2007, the Festival created its nature photo contest, then titled "Grand International Competition Canon Nature Photo". This contest is now called "Grand International Photo Competition Nature"

In 2009, the Namur Nature Film Festival develops a collaboration with Aves, an ornithological association, the C.N.B. and the DG03 of the Walloon Region. (Operational Directorate General Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment) and becomes the Namur Nature Festival. Aves organizes many exhibitions in "Old" Namur the first weekend of the festival. It also organizes a photo contest called "Emotion'aile" and which also wins a growing success as and editions.

In 2010, the Namur Nature Festival joins forces with the City of Namur and more particularly with the project of the "Quinzaine de la Nature".
