From the opening day of the Fort, which until 2001 was a wild landfill, we visited and trained more than 250,000 tourists! After being trained by the military, they were appointed to the first military rank and became regimental reservists!

Fort Gerhard is one of the few living museums in Europe where tourists can move in time! And feel the taste of military service on your own. Visiting the Fort has the form of accelerated military training. Tourists visit the fortress under the care of a "plain" and of course a uniformed Prussian soldier. During the journey through the area and the interior of the Fort, visitors will learn his story, while passing a few tests that will check whether the candidate is fit for military service! Courage, darkness and .. MILITARY MYSTERY! The tour ends with a nomination for a military grade and a gunshot. For the cadets who are hungry for additional attractions, special programs are planned: nightly firefighting, extra rehearsal - firefighting, anti-chemical training and rope climbing.

There are free toilets in the Fort area, a place for bonfire, a square where you can picnic for about 200 people and rooms where you can sit by the fireplace with about 150 guests. Fort is a perfect place for a school trip, an integration event for a company, or a May picnic! The Fort's crew is at your disposal!

How many visits to the Fort? Basic military training (sightseeing) takes about 75 minutes. It is worthwhile to book extra time to visit the museum, which requires a minimum of 25 minutes and a time for memorial photo in Prussian uniform!

Can the Fort be guided without a guide? Of course - for specialists a special free guide is prepared, with which every tourist can visit the Fort himself.

How does the Fort visit individual tourists, and how organized groups? Individual students are trained in platoon training (from May 1 to October 1), which takes about 20 minutes to tour. In another time platoon training starts the training according to the instructions of the commander. Organized groups are supported by the current training leader, however, suggesting earlier reservations.

Is the training route not too difficult for young children? And people with disabilities? The training program is adjusted to the age of the cadets! Among the trained donors are 5-year-old and 102-year-old children! There are also no restrictions for tourists with disabilities - as previously described, the route is always individually modified!
