Gróf Esterházy Károly Múzeum

The museum was founded in 1959 and worked for Esterházy Castle for a long time, and was maintained in the city in 2013. The institution has significant collections. Its collection area covers the area around Papa, surrounded by 54 surrounding popes (papal districts). Archeological, ethnographic, historical, fine art, numismatic and documentary collection, contains about 100,000 pieces of art. The management, organization, inventory, preservation and scientific processing of this material are carried out by our museumologists. The material and documentation material is supplemented by a library. This site was created to easily connect with our scientists and to give a small insight into museum background work. Currently we can see our exhibitions in the Blue Paint Museum and later in the refurbished castle.
