Eortjeshekken: the place in the Ooijpolder

In the Ooijpolder nature reserve there is a place to relax. This is called the Oortjeshekken: a unique and special location where 1600 guests feel at home. Our beautiful, historic building is situated in the middle of nature, bordering Nijmegen. For hikers and cyclists we are the start, rest or end point for a beautiful walk or bike ride. But Eortjeshekken is so much more. Besides breakfast, lunch and dinner you can also stay with us. At Oortjeshekken we take care of our guests. And we do that with our hearts.

Eortjeshekken is surrounded by polder landscape with picturesque farmhouses and the river Waal.Alle hotel rooms in this monumental building have a unique character. Some rooms overlook the Waal, other rooms border the garden and look out over the fields.

Good food? You can spend the whole day in the cozy Oortjeshekken building or on the terrace with nice weather. We love good food and prepare as much as possible with products from the region, preferably sustainable and often organic.
