Kuk Weihnachtsmarkt am Michaelerplatz

The k.u.k. Christmas market is surrounded by historic buildings. In the background is the Hofburg, where the Habsburgs resided and ruled. Opposite is the almost 800 years old Michaelerkirche. Even the ground under the feet of the Christmas market visitors is historically charged - this shows the Roman camp, which has been uncovered and made accessible to all. In order to live up to the ambience, the Christmas stands were designed like lovable miniatures of the stately Hofburg. They are decorated in white and decorated with golden ornaments reminiscent of imperial insignia. The huts are not only nice to look at from afar - those who come closer, can marvel at the high-quality offer, because there was much emphasis on Austrian excellence: There is honey with candied violets, hats from the Viennese Hutmanufaktur, Mariazeller gingerbread, snow globes from the time-honored Viennese family business and spice blends from Salzburg. Of course, for hot punch -. the variety Franz Josef - and hearty snacks such as mini-Wiener schnitzel ensured.
