Miskolci Nemzeti Színház

The National Theater of Miskolc (MNSZ) opened its doors on August 24, 1823 through the sacrifice of the citizens of the city and the donation of some of them. Hungary's first Hungarian-style stone theater was the National Theater of Miskolc, which has been operating continuously for more than 185 years.

The building has been renovated and restructured several times since it existed, but it has preserved all the features of an exterior classicist and inner neo-baroque. After the continuous renovations, a major transformation of the building began in 1990, which, after completion, since 1996, the theater "the oldest stone theater" was one of the most prestigious titles of "one of the most modern building complexes in Central Europe". With 16 thousand square meters of space and five playgrounds, all theatrical dreams can be realized in the building complex. The fully-renovated, magnificent building's theatrical rooms include the Grand Theater, the Chamber Theater, the Game Color, the Hall as an Experimental Square and the Summer Theater. The Grand Theater is one of the most beautiful and beautiful theater venues in the country, the biggest playground in the Miskolc National Theater. The audience has 670 seats. Its stage works with modern technology, its double rotating stage can be tilted. The atmosphere of the Nagyszínház combines the national theater and opera atmosphere of the European cities.

The Game Color is a tiny room of space for a hundred and twenty-five spectators with a varied view. In the Chamber Theater, a rotating stage and an orchestra dive will assist the emergence of the widest range of chamber genres with a 270-seat auditorium. Regarding the original function of the Hall, a set-up assembly workshop. Black. Giant. Mysterious. The venue uses this venue as a venue for attempting to renew theater genres, where experimental artists start experimenting with new mysterious journeys. The Summer Theater is an intimate atrium theater that can be covered with a five-hundred-seat auditorium, a revolving stage and huge orchestra dances. Summer audiences, Miskolc and tourists can enjoy theatrical genres as well as orchestral concerts in the Summer Theater.

The theater will produce 12-14 performances a year, complemented by other events such as the concerts of the Miskolc Symphony Orchestra or the Miskolc International Opera Festival of "Bartók + ..." and will host more than 200,000 spectators at 520-550 performances per season.

The operation of our prose, opera and dance art creates a genre of variation, with which we find receptive receptors in all parts of the world, regardless of language barriers.

Classical drama, opera, comedy, operetta, contemporary dance are all found in the repertoire. Works that, in any genre, suggest serious and important thoughts and carry out these ideas with their own means.
