Musée de Normandie

The Normandy Museum is a municipal museum of the city of Caen, created in 1946 and opened to the public in 1963.

Museum of History and society, rich in important archaeological and ethnographic collections, the Museum of Normandy has a population life panorama in the territory of the whole of Normandy, from prehistory to the great migrations of the early Middle Ages, changes in rural space to the first upheaval of industrial society.

Closed January 1, Easter Sunday, 1 May, Ascension Thursday, 1 November and 25 December.
