MUSIS - Steirischer Museumsverband

MUSIS was founded in 1994 on the initiative of committed museum people as a non-partisan and independent representation of interests of the Styrian museums. The association sees itself as a platform for the common solution of museum-specific problems for the currently about 180 member museums in the public. MUSIS supports the Styrian museums in further developing their quality and raising their profile, encourages the development and expansion of intensive communication with each other and initiates cooperation with tourism and business. MUSIS cooperates on a regional, national and international level with museum associations, specialist associations and cultural operators in order to create synergy effects for Styrian museums. MUSIS is thus doing pioneering work for a self-assured Styrian museum landscape.
