The Museum and Gallery of the Orlické Mountains, located in Rychnov nad Kněžnou, is a professional site exploring and documenting the Orlické Mountains region. Its founder is the Regional Authority in Hradec Králové. The predecessor of the museum was the "Pelcl Museology Society in Rychnov nad Kněžnou", which began with the collection of the first antique objects at the end of the 19th century. Today, the museum retains its 70,000 collections of ethnographic character in its depositories, but also archeology, fine arts and natural science collections. The specialized branch office is the Museum of Lace in Vamberk, which gathers documents for lace and lace production from the whole Czech Republic.
