At the moment, it is undoubtedly possible to consider the misconceptions that the Livs have extinct in Vidzeme already in the second half of the 19th century. The archival studies and unpublished documents of the local Orthodox and Lutheran congregations prove that most of these families have been extensive and divided, their descendants still live not only in Svētciems, but all over Latvia and abroad.
