The country's oldest hotel and restaurant, Pest-Buda, was originally opened in 1696. With its truly exceptional history and new design and modern, yet homely design, Pest-Buda is undoubtedly one of Budapest's most stylish hotels with 10 individually furnished luxury rooms and suites. At the top floor there are two studio suites, with floor-to-ceiling glass, free standing tub, huge walk-in shower and wooden baroque roof structure. Our family-run boutique hotel is located in the quiet, historic district of the city, in the Buda Castle, surrounded by historic buildings and peaceful streets, just 10 minutes from the city center.

We offer simple Hungarian dishes with the best ingredients, heart and soul: from grandma's home-made Hungarian cuisine with care and love. We only offer characteristic Hungarian wines and we are delighted to offer the special items that winemakers are looking for as true worshipers of wines.

With Zsolt Litauszki, Pierrot, 21, Baltazár and AND Bistro's creative chef, we worked on several months to renew a large number of Hungarian recipes and to develop a way to bake bread in a handcrafted manner. Not only is our lunch and dinner, but our breakfast also represents this line and you find a variety of food on the breakfast menu, which is prepared every day at home.

The oldest hotel in Hungary, originally opened in 1696, has been transformed into Pest-Buda. This stylish, design-forward boutique hotel and classic Hungarian bistro featuring grandma's homestyle cuisine is located in the Buda Castle district, the historic heart of Budapest, very close to downtown. Atop the building, two atelier suites feature floor-to-ceiling glass walls, freestanding bathtubs, and oversized walk-in showers, all set against the backdrop of the original exposed brick baroque roof structure. A sleek, family-owned boutique hotel located in the city's quiet, old Buda Castle area, it is surrounded by historic buildings and peaceful streets, while being only 10 minutes away from the city center.

Pest-Buda doubles with Grandma's homestyle Hungarian cuisine, using the best ingredients with love and care. We only carry Hungarian wines rich in personality and like to highlight those special bottles that are the territory of true wine aficionados.

Together with Zsolt Litauszki, creative chef of Pierrot, 21 Hungarian Kitchen, Baltazar, and AND Bistro (all recommended / awarded by the Michelin Guide and Gault Millau), we have been working for months to discover some Hungarian recipies and master the art of baking perfect artisanal flamed pie. Chef Lajos Lutz is running a soulful kitchen devoted to Grandma's Hungarian classics made with love and care.
