The history of the Barlad Planetarium began on December 5, 2009, when it was first inaugurated such a cultural, educational and scientific objective in Vaslui County. A planetarium is a specially constructed construction to simulate the heavenly vault, as it is in reality. There are also various scientific and educational activities for a wide and diverse audience. The Planetarium is located on the terrace of the "Marcel Guguianu" Museum Pavilion of "Vasile Pârvan" Museum in Barlad. Planetarium is a complex system consisting of a dome and a special room, the equipment area, which in turn consists of two parts: the technical room and the central projectors, the entire system is connected to the control panel. The astronomical observatory in Barlad was inaugurated in 2006, when the first telescope for astronomical observations was acquired. Over time, acquisitions of telescopes and optical astronomy accessories have increased, mostly by sponsorships and donations, at this time becoming the astronomical observer in Barlad to be one of the best equipped in the country and thus the activities cultural, scientific and educational issues have diversified and their numbers have gradually evolved. In the planetarium and astronomical observatory, the "Perseus" Astroclub in Barlad was inaugurated on October 9, 2010. Those who are passionate about astronomy or want to discover new information about the mysteries of the universe can join this club. Here they have the opportunity to learn to use a telescope, to recognize the constellations on the celestial vault, to participate in various activities organized by the "Vasile Pârvan" Museum on astronomical events and phenomena, astronomy camps, to deepen various information related to this field, and to promote astronomy in turn.
