The Plastic Theater Hobbit is a private theater with extensive program, led by Jutta Schmitt and Corina Roeder. It makes use of the drama linked to animated dolls, figures, things, objects and cinematic projections, as well as schemes and shadows. We stage and create own stories and well-known plays for children and in the evening program for adults in the fixed house and on tour. From the knowledge of the traditional forms of puppet theater we develop forms of play for the continuity of an ancient animated theater form in the 21st century. Theater is emerging right now. The multifaceted actions, including the tactile actions, arise and work in real time. The private relation to the modern visual art flows into the stage happenings. Jutta Schmitt exhibits her artistic work nationally and internationally. In the foyer you will find changing art exhibitions. Theater needs viewers. We would be pleased if you visit our theater or invite us to guest performances.
