Restaurant Die Waid

The specialty of our restaurant lies in the division of traditional, seasonal Swiss cuisine on the one hand and Asian-inspired cuisine in the WOK-Pfännli on the other. We call it the Jahreszeiten- and the WOK-Restaurant. For outdoor use the same separation applies. Seasons terrace and WOK terrace. In our chestnut garden, which is adjacent to the WOK terrace and is open from May to October, you can also order from the WOK card.

We are located about 130m above the city of Zurich on the Hönggerberg above the Waidspital and thus enjoy an impressive view over the city, Lake Zurich and the mountain range of the Glarus Alps.

We open at 8:00 and already have croissants ready. From 9: 00-11: 00 you can choose from our breakfast menu. Highlight here is our Waid Z`morge. A huge breakfast buffet on the table to be full. From 11:30 to 14:00, there is the big ticket. From Monday to Friday each a daily menu. From 14: 00-17: 30 there is a small menu with a reduced selection of hot and cold dishes. From 17: 30-22: 00 clock there is then again the large selection. From 22: 00-23: 00 clock again, the small card. You can eat warm and good with us throughout.

Very popular in the afternoon is our cake display, which we fill at 11:00 clock. Homemade cake and cake creations attract magically to the coffee and cake time.
