Our history

Our history is the history of changing times. In the 1960s, our father had opened an inn with tavern, the "Locanda Cimonella" which offered simple dishes. To honor his memory today the sign is "Ristorante da Gigi" and 50 years later without stopping to use local products we have developed a more refined cuisine to meet the needs of the tastes that change and develop the path taken. The banquet is an important moment, to be enjoyed with the mouth but also with all the other senses, an experience that involves both the belly and the brain.

THE STAFF

CHEF

Carlo Maglia, born in 1964, comes from that branch of Lake Como, Bellano, famous for being the birthplace of two famous artists, the painter and the writer whose name they both make Vitali. After years of experience in some local Brianza stops in the kitchen of the Ristorante da Gigi, replacing grandmother Teresa. Self-taught, he experiments with Giusy, Marco and Marisa traditional dishes, remaining faithful to local products but reworking them in a more modern version.

SERVICE

In the dining room Angela and Antonella take care of you, advising you on the news, while the wine and beer card is taken care of by Marco. If you have foreign guests, Antonella can help you with German, English and French.

In spring, summer and autumn, the restaurant is a triumph of dishes prepared with the products of our gardens cared for by grandmother Teresa. Salads, carrots, cabbage, pumpkins, beans and all aromatic herbs such as thyme, sage, rosemary, lemon balm, bay leaf, marjoram and chervil.
