Theater ASOU is an independent Graz theater group founded in 1994. From the beginning, we have always sought new ways of making theater: our understanding of theater has been shaped by our engagement with eastern theater forms (Noh, Butoh) in contrast to European approaches (Stanislawski, Grotowski). We strive for an artistic diversity that creates a "poetry in space" (A. Artaud). Our theater is plastic and physical, a theater in motion, a theater of images that astonishes, moves, entertains.
