Today, visitors can discover the basilica, the archaeological site of the ancient churches and the jewels of the new treasure room. With the reconstitution of films and synthetic images, it enters step in a history of 1,500 years.

Founded in 515 by King Sigismund and recognized by Charlemagne, the Abbey of Saint-Maurice, Valais, is a unique place. It is the oldest abbey of the West still active. The canons who live there still practiced perpetual prayer. Pilgrims and visitors flock there from all continents.
