The Archaeological Museum of the WWU - established in 1884 - offers with its extensive collection for all those interested exciting insights into the arts and crafts of ancient cultures of the Mediterranean and the Near East. All of the collections - the original collection, the collection of antique sculptures, the model collections of ancient monuments, sites and sanctuaries, and the collection of coins - are integrated into teaching and research at the University of Münster, but are of course also available to the public and schools. In addition, guided tours and lectures of various themes, educational activities and exhibitions are offered.
model We regard our museum as an up-to-date, research-based educational institution that offers its contents interesting, competent, committed, but also - in the sense of the motto of the WWU Münster "know life" - informal and inviting for students and public audiences.
