English Student Theater is a youth theater, which has been performing musicals in English for more than twenty-five years under the auspices of the II.Gimnasium Maribor. Over all these years, more than fifteen professional and artistically completed musical theater productions have been featured, which impresses many audiences at home and abroad. The original idea of ​​such a form of theater has emerged as a creative and different alternative to learning English, which at the same time provides young people with quality leisure time. We remain faithful to this idea today. In English Student Theater, we offer young people between the ages of fourteen and nineteen the opportunity to learn English more comprehensively through theater play, singing and stage movements, dancing. Young people can choose between getting acquainted with stage activities and learning technical theater professions such as tone technique, lighting design and stage design. At the same time, such engagement connects young people, teaches them group performance, organization, better concentration, and public speaking become self-confident. Thus, the English Student Theater is an excellent stepping stone for those who want to work with the theater professionally as well as for all other professions, where the knowledge of the agglow language and public speaking are needed.
