One of the most known alternative art galleries in Ljubljana, located at Metelkova. It was founded in 1996 by an informal group of young artists. The galleries's building used to be the Yugoslavian army's barracks. Today, the Alkatraz Gallery is showcasing many different artists who often have something radical and critical statements.
