Located in the west of Thuringia and easily accessible from all directions, is the 18-hole championship golf course, the Wartburg Golf Park. 18 clearly arranged fairways inspire many golfers from all over Germany through numerous bunkers and large water hazards. The area also includes a generously designed training area with a covered tee area and a public 4-hole short course.
With over 400 members, the Wartburg Golf Park is one of the largest clubs in the area. Its catchment area extends to the north far beyond the borders of the Hainich National Park, east to the provincial capital of Erfurt, south to the Thuringian Forest and east to the borders of Hesse.
On June 20, 2015, the golf club celebrated its 20th anniversary and looks back on an exciting and, in the region, unique story. In a laborious and enthusiastic work it has been possible to create a golf course that can be seen in the golf world.
