The history of Gelnhausen cinema:


On October 3, 1924, the first cinema in Gelnhausen opens with the Casino Lichtspiel. Operated by Georg and Rosa Schneevogl. At the opening, the silent film "The Most Beautiful Woman in the World", a piano player, interpreted drama, suspense and lyrics as background music. Later, the music came out of the gramophone.

August 16, 1974, the reopening of the Casino - Lichtspiele takes place.


In 1982, a fire destroyed the upper rooms of the "Pali Disco".


2007 remodeling Pali. Extension of the foyer, redesign of the forecourt with barrier-free access to the cinema. The completely renewed forecourt of the Pali is an attractive place, especially in summer, to linger before the movie starts in good weather.
