Frankfurt is the city of business and history. It's not a very touristic place but it's a magical place to walk around the skyscrapers and beautiful historical places. Although I didn't really stay a long time in Frankfurt (a very big fan of the airport though :D) but I was very impressed by the mixture of old and new. And I have to admit, food is always amazing here. If you have a short time after a business meeting or any other activities, Frankfurt is the best place to have one day trip while enjoying the best famous Frankfurter sausage.

What to do in Frankfurt?

The city itself is not very big for tourists, that's why the most amazing thing to do in Frankfurt is to take a walking tour. Also, you can always have a guided tour, which is very common in Frankfurt. If you want to discover the city, the best place to start is from the Römerberg (Ostzeile). Römerberg is the historical old town center of Frankfurt which has very cute half-timbered houses. Here every timbered house has its own name. The corner house named "Grosser Engel" is also Frankfurt's first bank! And don't forget to take a selfie in this amazing square and the Fountain of Justice :).

After Römerberg you have to definitely visit the Emperor's Cathedral. And don't worry, you can't miss this beautiful Dom because it's 95 m high and can be seen from afar. This charming Cathedral was burned in 1867 and soon after it was reconstructed in neo-Gothic style. Sadly due to World War II, it got damaged again, but it was reconstructed agaın from 1950 to 1953.

There are also lots of very interesting museums in Frankfurt. The most fascinating ones are Senckenberg Museum of Natural History (if you are into unique exhibits of mammals & also the other animals AND DINOSAURS !), the Staedel Museum (for art lovers) and definitely the Goethe House where legendary German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe lived. If you are traveling with kids, the Kinder museum is a must see.

If you are craving for lunch, Kleinmarkthalle is definitely worth visiting. It is very close to Frankfurt's largest shopping street (ZEIL) and it's an amazing food heaven. You can find food all around the world to cook or to eat there. You should also try the famous apple wine at Old Sachsenhaus. And the pricing is very reasonable too!

If you are more like a restaurant person, then you should definitely check the Berger Street. In this street, you can also do some shopping, eat and drink in delightful restaurants and then have a coffee with your friends. But if you want to try the famous Frankfurter Sausage, the best place is Best Worscht in Town! In here you can choose your spices and various topping.

Don't forget to own your personal lovelock with your lover on the Eiserner Steg bridge as well and take a long nice walk with your company all along the Main river, the view will amaze you.

After a long day of discovering this lovely city and its famous food, it's time to enjoy the best Frankfurt view from the Main Tower. If you have the free time to discover this gorgeous city and taste the amazing food, create your trip on itinari now! Here is the list of activities:
