Kino im Schillerhof

Just a stone's throw from the Saale riverbank and a 10-minute walk from the center, you will find the cinema in the Schillerhof. Enclosed in the streets and alleys Wenigenje attracts the only program cinema of the city since 1999 with sophisticated and entertaining films.

In a cozy atmosphere and spread over two rooms, a total of 130 guests can now find their place and enjoy a commercial-free cinema experience. Our presentation rooms are equipped with digital projection technology. In the Blue Hall, we still preserve the beautiful tradition of the 35mm projection and thus ensure a symbiosis of tradition and modernity - an approach that is reflected not least in our program. A mixture of current representatives of all genres, classics, documentary series and various special performances provides variety and makes a visit to our small but fine rooms again and again interesting.

The cinema in Schillerhof is a member of europa cinemas and AG Kino-Gilde. Since 2009, the Filmtheater has been awarded every year for its annual film program both by the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung and by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
