Musée de la Médecine

Recognized by the Federation Wallonia-Brussels, it is unique. Inaugurated in 1994, it implants in the middle of the Campus Erasme, in a glass and stone architecture designed by the Art & Build office. Originating in the dream and the tenacity of the rheumatologist Thierry Appelboom, the Medicine Museum account today in his honor committee Messrs Philippe Busquin, Philippe Maystadt and Louis Michel.

His collection of art and archeology, with over 7,000 rooms, illustrates the flow of the healing arts from ancient times to our days and interactions of medicine with religion, art and, newly, Literature. Open to the world, the Medicine Museum is also interested in the healing art of the pharaohs, pre-Columbian and African and Chinese civilizations.

Of visioguides, small tablet PCs, will guide you through the museum halls and you will discover his masterpieces. Temporary exhibitions, for adults and children, are regularly offered at the Medical Museum.
