The Museum of Life of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation is an area of integration between science, culture and society, and aims to inform and educate in science, health and technology in a playful and creative way, through exhibitions, interactive activities, multimedia, theater, video and laboratories.

The Museum is open all year round, running from Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 4.30pm. On Saturdays, it is open from 10am to 4pm. Visits and activities are free.

Being linked to Fiocruz, the Museum assumes unique characteristics, reflecting the institution's culture, mission and social commitment. Its central themes are life as object of knowledge, health as quality of life and the intervention of man on life.

In addition, because of its location on the campus of Fiocruz, an immense green area in the midst of a densely populated area, housing needy communities and a large number of public schools, functions as a leisure, culture and education center in science and health.

An initiative of the Casa de Oswaldo Cruz (COC), the Museum aims to provide the population with an understanding of the process and scientific progress and the relationship with the day to day, increasing their participation in issues related to health and science and technology.

The Museum of Life, through the 2016 Annual Plan approved by the Federal Law of Incentive to Culture / MinC, is sponsored by IBM, Schott do Brasil and Janssen.

This profile is organized by the team of the Nucleus of Studies of Scientific Divulgação, a sector of the Museum.

It will be a space for the dissemination of news about the activities of the museum, scientific divulgation and related themes and for direct communication with the public.
