Museum Gouda

In Gouda Museum, Gouda's history comes alive with ancient altar pieces that survived the imagery, with design drawings for the Gouda Glasses and 17th-century shooters. The visitor meets Erasmus, who grew up in Gouda, and Dirck Crabeth, who worked on behalf of Willem van Oranje and Philips II. The visitor is eye-catching with paintings by Daubigny, Redon, Fantin-Latour, Weissenbruch and Tholen. And show it Gouda in 1562 by means of a giant city mat. This hospitable museum manages more than 44,000 objects, of which a large part is also in the open-air De Boat depot. The museum is located in a beautiful, monumental building right in the heart of Gouda.
