Book "Bešte, people - going to car, History of carnival in Croatia 1898-1945." was born on the basis of a multi-year study of all available sources and conversations with dozens of members of the family of Croatian Motorists. The first is an analysis of the historical, sociological and economic impact of cars on society in Croatian countries.                The book speaks of multiple automotive units in the territory of Croatia at the time of the Dual Monarchy, ie at the time of the beginning of motor transport. Then the territory of today's Republic of Croatia and the Croatian countries outside of it were split up, first between the Habsburg Monarchy and within them even more in several administrative units. In the manuscript there is talk about the organization and development of motoring in Croatia and the time of the Kingdom of the SHS / Yugoslavia, about the period of the Kreslin Nezavisne države Hrvatske and about Istria then under the Italian authority.            The book is a very valuable addition to not only the history of our automobile, but also the automobile in neighboring countries and countries, especially those in Austria, Italy and Hungary, whose capital is the most influential in the automotive culture of us. The first is such a work in us in this research area, and the contents are well, almost entirely integrated in economic history, but of course, with branches in the political field.               Given the very close link between Croatian motoring with the Hungarians, the Austrian, Slovenian, Bosnian book should have a positive impact abroad.                  The aim of the book is to revitalize the scarcely known part of our national history and to give insight into the first pioneering period of autopsy in this area. Show in the new light the most significant events and personalities.
