Muzeum X Pawilonu Cytadeli Warszawskiej

The X Pavilion is housed in an authentic nineteenth-century building of the Aleksandrówsk Koszar uniform, followed by an investigative prison. Museum exhibits document the history of the Tsar Nicholas I built after the suppression of the November Warsaw Uprising and the silhouettes of political prisoners from 1835 to 1915, when Warsaw was under the Romanov scepter. Visitors to the museum have the opportunity to view preserved interiors of the period (corridors, interrogation rooms and waiting rooms for interviews), realities made by Polish exiles in Siberia, as well as a unique collection of paintings and historical sketches of one of the prisoners of the X Pavilion of the artist. painter Alexander Sochaczewski (1843-1923) documenting the life of exiled insurgents in 1863. The artist has been in Siberia for twenty years and everything he painted and sketched has been lived by him personally. The exhibition of his works has been thoroughly renewed and arranged from scratch, among others. thanks to the use of multimedia resources.
