It was here that the Warsaw Uprising began. In this building before the war was the Teatr im. Żeromskiego led by Irena Solska. After the war, Kino Tęcza was one of the first places where films were shown. In the 1990s the Academy of Movement was active in the building, one of the most important artistic alternatives. Paweł Althamer and Artur Żmijewski had an exhibition, Allen Ginsberg's poems were read, punk concerts and niche shows were on the stage. For several years, Rainbow was empty, destroying. The inhabitants of Żoliborz managed to save the building from the temptation of developers who wanted to put in their apartment building. But nobody had an idea what to do with her. Tubes, stolen radiators and doors, cut electrical installation - in such condition was the interior still in January 2015. This is the past. The rain is coming. New, uncompromising, artistic.
