Our little Greek story starts right in the heart of Pegau in Saxony. Here we opened the Syrtaki on 14. July 2006 in the Carsdorfer street.
After 3 years, we rebuilt our restaurant in August 2009 to bring our guests the Greek atmosphere even closer. On January 21, 2012 our restaurant unfortunately succumbed to a major fire, which also destroyed the neighboring insurance office, a hairdresser and a beverage trade to its foundations. The firefighters Pegau, Wiederau, Groitzsch, Werben, Kitzen and Schkorlopp were on fire fighting. After a slump in the beverage trade, a presumed arson led to the major fire.
In this misfortune, miraculously, our entrance roof was preserved. This now shines in new splendor - at our reopened restaurant. The Syrtaki celebrated its reopening on April 21, 2012 in Pegauer Ratskeller.
