Royal Saint Barbara's Dortmund Golf Club e.V.

Located on the eastern, flat outskirts of Dortmund, the golf course of the Royal Saint Barbara's GC - true to its British roots - presents itself on around 70 ha as a parkland course. Founded in 1969 by British Army Army soldiers as the Royal Artillery And Dortmund Garrison Golf Club, the club has generously refurbished and redesigned its 2004-2009 facility, which is only seven kilometers as the crow flies from the city center of Dortmund, according to the latest golfing architecture. Everywhere you can feel the signature of Uli Katthöfer from Essen.

The 18-hole course (par 72) on the former airfield of Dortmund has a length of 6110 m and is characterized by mature trees as well as long par-4 and difficult par-5 courses. Nevertheless, the course is fair and sporty, since almost all obstacles from the drive point can be seen. The single tracks, of which 6 to 8 are embedded in oak forest, are separated by gently sloping hills.

Absolute highlights of the course with its newly created undulating, large landscaped greens, connoisseurs call the "Pearl in the Ruhr", are the extended island green (lane 9) and the double green (lanes 12 and 16), which with 1280 sqm and 70 m in length the size of five and a half tennis courts has. A furious finale requires the 18th green to be played over water.

Without rigid fixation on fixed start times, guests are always welcome. The gastronomy in the clubhouse enjoys an excellent reputation beyond Dortmund.
