Taiteilijat O - Artists O

Artists O ry members can be accepted as artists who use material-based expression in their works and whose artistic traditions are tangible or conceptual. Currently, the association has 150 members.

The purpose of the organization is to promote and develop contemporary art in the artistic field and to strengthen its position in the diverse field of art. In the field of visual culture, the boundaries between the arts have lost their significance in the context of conceptual content. Today's textile and ceramic art is a fine art in which to paint or sculpt. The art of the arts and crafts sector has no strict definition. Textile, ceramic and other material-based art are probably the most extensive and well-known areas. In addition to these, one can read among others: contemporary jewelery art, conceptual content based experimental design, and wearable art type costume art.

Artists O ry's activities focus on the development of professional conditions as an artist. The aim is to promote the art in the field by, for example,: exhibitions and events by organizing not only in their own field but also in dialogue with artists from other areas of visual arts.

Artists O ry is a member of the Association of Industrial Art in Ornamo.
