Teatro Colón - Bogotá

The Colon Theater is one of the oldest and most beautiful stages of America. Founded on October 12, 1892 and located in the Historic Center of Bogotá, its history dates back to 1792 with the construction of the Ramírez Coliseum on the same site as the current theater. In 1976, the Colón Theater was declared an Asset of National Interest, becoming a cultural symbol and a piece of great wealth and architectural and heritage importance for Colombia.

This magnificent scenario that has been, is and will be the theater of all Colombians will reopen its doors to the public again on July 23, 2014, after a complex process of restoration to be the main center of production of the representative and musical arts of the country, which encourages the creation, circulation, training, research and appropriation of the various artistic languages ​​through high-quality shows, generating inclusive access for all types of audiences.

The Teatro Colón has access for people with disabilities, in the following way: Platea posterior: four points (rows 18 and 19) two on the left and two on the right. On the second level we have access by elevator to Box No. 17 (which is the closest to the elevator) or to side boxes if the user so wishes. In fourth level or gallery we have access by elevator.
