Enniskillen has the unique honour of being the only town in Great Britain and Ireland to give its name to two regiments, the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers (infantry) and 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards (cavalry), now part of the Royal Irish Regiment and Dragoon Guards. A visit to the award winning Inniskillings Museum is a journey through more than 300 years of world history as encountered by these two famous regiments. Be inspired by the heroism of the men and their families who served all over the world and view a rich collection of personal stories, treasures, weapons, medals, uniforms and regimental silver. You will be captivated by the stirring sound of bugle calls, bagpipes and regimental music and hear the emotive poetry of Francis Ledwidge, who was killed with the Inniskillings in 1917. Both children and adults alike will want to see our collection of army vehicles, visit the Inniskilling Dragoons' Farrier's shop on the eve of the Battle of Balaclava in 1854 or experience the medical officer's tent in Palestine during World War One.

The Inniskillings Museum welcomes research enquiries and requests for information concerning individual soldiers. For further details please contact the regimental office on +44 (0)28 66323142 or email research@inniskillingsmuseum.com
