Museo Cividini nella Antica Zecca di Bergamo

What MUSEUM CIVIDINI   The ancient thirteenth Mint of Bergamo Alta, already gipsoteca and studio of the sculptor Pierantonio Volpini, has turned into a real workshop of sculpture thanks to a project that lays the foundations for a new museum. Pierantonio Volpini, developing his work in the international arena in London, Pietrasanta, Monza and Bergamo, no longer uses the former Mint as a studio and wanted to give this historical space a new life. The museum houses a permanent collection of small sculptures and mostrededicate with the discussions in the context of the contemporary. The space is so divided:

• A section dedicated to the works of important sculptors who have left traces in the history of art, from the early '900 to the present day, provided with cards and documentation on the work and life of these artists, such as: Fontana, Manzu, Tomato, Beuys, Scanavino, Hirst, Knight and other contemporaries;
• A section reserved for artists' books, unique works or limited edition of the publishing house El Bagatt milestone in publishing history of art;
• An educational section having a small workshop-studio, where you can create small sculptures from modeling to the merger, which will be made available to those who want to experience through classes and demonstrations;
• An area dedicated to the collection of plaster casts for over 20 years has developed in these same premises, with a small bookshop of the museum;
• One dedicated to impromptu exhibition hall.
